MV Britannia is the flagship of the P&O Cruises fleet, built by Fincantieri at its shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy. Ordered in 2011 and completed in February 2015, this impressive Royal-class cruise ship was christened by Queen Elizabeth II in March 2015 before embarking on her maiden voyage. At 143,730 gross tonnes and stretching 330 metres in length, Britannia is a substantial vessel capable of accommodating 3,647 passengers across 15 passenger decks, supported by a crew of 1,398. The ship operates at a cruising speed of 21.9 knots and cost £473 million to construct. As P&O Cruises' flagship, Britannia took over this prestigious role from Oriana, representing the modern face of this quintessentially British cruise line. Her impressive scale and capacity make her one of the largest ships in the P&O fleet, offering passengers a truly grand cruising experience with contemporary amenities and traditional British hospitality.
