About Ambition

MS Ambition is a cruise ship operated by Ambassador Cruise Line, built in 1999 by Chantiers de l'Atlantique in Saint-Nazaire, France. This Mistral-class vessel has had a fascinating history, sailing under five different names for various cruise lines including Festival Cruises, Iberocruceros, Costa Crociere, and AIDA Cruises before joining Ambassador's fleet in 2022. Measuring 216 metres in length with a gross tonnage of 48,200, Ambition accommodates up to 1,248 passengers in double occupancy across eight passenger decks. The ship maintains a cruising speed of 19.5 knots and is staffed by a crew of 670. Notable for its environmental considerations, Ambition meets IMO Tier III emissions standards and features shore power connectivity, allowing the engines to be switched off whilst docked. This well-travelled vessel continues to offer passengers comfortable cruising experiences with over two decades of maritime service.
